Autobiography
In 1972 Iskakova K.A. graduated with honors from the Faculty of Geography, S.M. Kirov KazGU on specialty "Geography". After completing the postgraduate studies at the Department of Economical Geography of the USSR, at the Faculty of Geography, at the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, in January 1976 she was accepted for the work at the KazGU as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Economical Geography, where she later held positions of the Senior lecturer and Associate professor. In May 1976 at MSU she defended her Candidate thesis on specialty 11.00.02 - Economical and Social Geography, and since 1985 she has the title of the Associate professor. In 1996, in connection with the opening of the new specialty "SCS and Tourism" at the Geographical Faculty, K.A. Iskakova was transferred to the position of the Associate professor of the Department of Tourism. In 2005-2006 she worked as the Dean of the Faculty of Geography. Iskakova K.A. is a qualified teacher, she performs the educational work at a high scientific and methodological level which corresponds to the content of modern achievements of geographical science and methods of teaching in higher educational institutions. Participated in the development of State standards, working curricula for Bachelor, Master programs in specialty “Tourism”. At the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism she teaches the following disciplines: "Management in Tourism”, “Regional Studies”, “Recreational Tourism”, “Structure of the touristic market”, etc. Iskakova K.A. is engaged in scientific research activities in the field of economic and social geography, and in recent years in the field of tourism and problems of the Higher education as well. Participated in the development of several projects, made reports at the International and Republican scientific and practical conferences. Under the supervision of K.A. Iskakova the Candidate thesis was defended. Iskakova K.A. has about 60 scientific papers.
